At Camp Afro, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines how cancellations, refunds, and booking changes are handled.
Refund Policy
- A 30% deposit is required to secure your spot at Camp Afro.
- If the remaining balance is not paid by the due date (90 days before your camp start date), your booking will be automatically released and your deposit fully refunded.
- All bookings made within 90 days of your camp start date are treated as final. Payments made in this period are non-refundable, in line with the cancellation terms below.
- The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 90 days before camp.
- If full payment is not received by this date, your booking will be cancelled and your deposit refunded as noted above.
- After this point, no refunds will be issued, except in the limited circumstances described below.
- 90 days or more before camp: All payments, including your deposit, are fully refundable.
- Within 90 days of camp: Payments are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that Camp Afro must postpone or cancel an experience — for example, due to safety concerns, travel restrictions, or minimum group numbers not being met — you will be offered the choice of a full refund or credit transfer toward a future Camp Afro experience.
Camp Afro also reserves the right to decline, cancel, or terminate individual bookings at our discretion — before or during camp — in cases where a guest fails to comply with our Code of Conduct or engages in behaviour deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the spirit of the experience. Refunds in such cases may be issued at our discretion, depending on the circumstances.
Please note: Camp Afro is not responsible for additional costs outside your booking (such as flights, visas, or travel insurance).

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
