A 30% deposit secures your spot when booking 90+ days before your camp start date. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. You’ll receive an email reminder and invoice 1–2 months before the balance is due.

Bookings made within 90 days of camp require full payment at checkout.
If the remaining balance isn’t paid on time, your booking will be cancelled, your deposit refunded, and your spot released back to the waitlist or general public.

We strongly recommend personal travel insurance, as refunds can’t be offered for cancellations made within 90 days of camp.

Every Camp Afro package includes:

• 5-star accommodation (room type based on your package)

No. Flights to and from Zanzibar are not included. You’ll receive guidance on arrival and departure recommendations, transfers, and travel tips after booking.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Some guests qualify for visa-free entry or visa on arrival, while others must apply in advance. After booking, we’ll share clear guidance to help you prepare.

Yes. June to August is Zanzibar’s dry season — clear skies, calm seas, and gentle breezes make it the most beautiful time of year to experience Camp Afro.

Absolutely. Guests are encouraged to join solo, or come with friends and family — either way, you will feel part of the family from day one.

To book as a group, each person should book individually. Add your group name or roommate request at checkout and we’ll do our best to place you together.

(Rooms accommodate up to two guests, but larger groups will enjoy the full Camp Afro experience together.)

Packages are priced per person. Rooms can accommodate up to two guests sharing the same package tier (Core, Palm, or Horizon).

Solo travelers can opt to be paired with another camper — simply add a roommate request at checkout, and we'll pair you if both parties opt in.

Before camp, you’ll gain access to your Camp Afro Guest Portal, where you can:

• Choose your daily activities
• Update preferences (dietary needs, allergies, etc.)
• Add optional upgrades (spa, excursions, etc.)

The portal opens a few months before camp, and you’ll be notified as soon as it’s live.

Yes. You’ll be able to share all requirements at checkout and make updates via your Guest Portal before camp. Our team and resort partners ensure every meal is handled with care.
